The Red Wings (18-17-5) have won back-to-back games against the Sabres, sweeping the four-game season series. The Red Wings were on the penalty kill because of an unsuccessful coach’s challenge for goalie interference on Jeff Skinner’s goal that put Buffalo ahead 2-0 at 9:21. The Red Wings have a three-day break before facing the Dallas Stars Friday at Little Caesars Arena.
