Baby girl abused ‘from head to toe,’ parents charged, police say
DEARBORN, MI – A 1-month-old baby girl who was brought to a pediatrician with signs of abuse “from head to toe” is hospitalized while her parents face charges, police said. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital of Michigan and it was determined that the injuries were consistent with abuse. “We discovered a one-month-old baby with signs of abuse from head to toe,” Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin told FOX 2 Detroit. “Unfortunately, she had bruising, signs of strangulation, and broken ribs.”The child’s parents, Amy Taulbee, 31, and Murtadha Almeamaar, 31, both of Dearborn, were arrested and charged. Taulbee is charged with first-degree child abuse; her bond was set at $100,000 cash and she will be required to wear a GPS tether if released.
