Later that day, he allegedly lied on a federal firearms form to purchase a shotgun, a rifle and a semi-automatic pistol at a gun shop in Dearborn. If convicted, Chokr faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Chokr is charged with two counts of ethnic intimidation, a two-year felony, related to the incident at the synagogue. DETROIT, MI – The suspect in a recent antisemitic incident at a Michigan synagogue was in court Tuesday for a separate case and mooned the courtroom, according to reports. On Monday, Dec. 5, Chokr was arraigned in Oakland County court on two counts of ethnic intimidation stemming from an incident on Friday, Dec. 2, at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Township, MLive previously reported. Chokr is accused of making antisemitic threats to children, parents and security guards. During the hearing, Chokr went on another rant, but he was muted. “And now he has removed his pants to show the court his backside, so I am putting him in the waiting room,” Judge Regina Thomas said during the hearing.
