DETROIT – High winds blowing through southeast Michigan Sunday are causing power outages throughout the region. Wind advisories are in effect for 11 SE Michigan counties on Sunday afternoon. DTE Energy: Thousands of power outages reported in Southeast Michigan
DETROIT – Storms have knocked out power to thousands in Southeast Michigan on Friday, and more bad weather is expected through the evening. As of 10:51 p.m., around 4,860 DTE Energy customers were without power. DTE reported 78 crews in the field. A Flood Warning is in effect for Wayne County, Eastern Oakland County and Macomb County until 4 p.m. on Friday. We are under a Slight Risk for Severe Storms today, and that will be most likely through the late afternoon and evening.

DTE Energy says they’re preparing for possible outages in the area on Monday, with extra crews on standby.
