A recall of dog food has been expanded to include products from more than a dozen brands. The recall is due to concerns over possible unsafe levels of a toxin produced by mold that can grow on corn and grains. Corn and grains are used as ingredients in pet foods. Teen hunter killed when run over by corn harvester near Caseville
CASEVILLE, Mich. – A 14-year-old deer hunter who possibly fell asleep in a farm field was killed when he was run over by a corn harvester in Michigan’s Thumb region, police said. Emergency workers were called about 9 a.m. Saturday to the cornfield in a rural area near the Huron County city of Caseville after a farm worker spotted the boy soon after accidentally driving over him, according to the county sheriff’s office. The boy from the nearby city of Elkton had been dropped off earlier for deer hunting at the field and might have fallen asleep, the sheriff’s office said. The farm worker wasn’t aware that anyone was in the field. The boy’s identity wasn’t immediately released by authorities and an autopsy was expected to be performed in the coming days.

Abandoned baby giraffe befriended by dog in Africa dies

Orphanage staff had expected this to happen, assuming that the mother giraffe had abandoned the baby for a reason, Arrie van Deventer, the orphanage's founder, told The Associated Press. “So we finally know that Jazz didn't have a bad giraffe mother that left him," the orphanage's statement said. The baby giraffe had arrived a few weeks ago, just days after birth. The giraffe was buried close to the orphanage, van Deventer said.

The Wall Street Journal was first to report that Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the July phone call to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's son Hunter, citing multiple people familiar with the matter. Now, the Journal is reporting that Trump not only discussed Biden with Zelensky during that phone call but urged the Ukrainian President to use his personal lawyer to help investigate the former vice president's son. Trump still pushing Biden claimAsked whether he'd discussed Biden with Ukraine's Zelensky during a phone call in late July, Trump said it "doesn't matter what I discussed," but insisted that someone should look into Biden.
