Rick Snyder. Michigan Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy today announced that after 12 months of grand jury proceedings nine individuals have been indicted on a total of 41 counts โrelated to a series of alleged actions and inactions that created the historic injusticeโ of the Flint Water Crisis.

Rick Snyder is expected to be among a group of people facing charges in connection with the Flint water crisis. On Wednesday it was announced Snyder is facing charges of willful neglect of duty in connection with the Flint water crisis. The evidence reportedly includes potential email evidence of Snyder allegedly being warned about the danger a year before the city moved from using water from the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department to water from the Flint River, and a Legionnaireโs disease cover-up. Brian Lennon, Snyderโs attorney, said criminal prosecution would be โoutrageous.โโIt is outrageous to think any criminal charges would be filed against Gov. Detroit serial killer case: Man charged in murders of 4 women
DETROIT - Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy announced Wednesday that Deangelo Kenneth Martin charged with the murders of four women who were found dead this year on Detroit's east side. Worthy said Martin is charged in the deaths of Annetta Nelson, 57, of Detroit, Nancy Harrison, 52, of Detroit, Trevesene Ellis, 55, of Detroit, and Tamara Jones, 55, of Detroit. Martin already is heading to trial on four counts of sex assault and assault with intent to murder. Martin faces other chargesMartin is accused of kidnapping, strangling and assaulting a 51-year-old Detroit woman. He was charged with assault with intent to murder and four counts of criminal sexual assault in that case.

Wayne County prosecutor furious over Robert Ficano's budgeting
DETROIT โ Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy said her office needs some money -- like $7 million of the available $60 million -- just to stop the stream of prosecutors running out the door. We are 1/2 the size of what we were before, and everybody expects us to do the same amount of work," said Worthy. We are limping along, and this is the way people want -- that Ficano wants -- his prosecutor's office funded?" She is furious at county Executive Robert Ficano's decisions not to fund her office properly. It's up to the Wayne County Commission to decide what to do with the money.
