Detroit police arrest liquor store owner involved in altercation with woman
DETROIT – A now viral video of a woman bleeding on the floor of Brandon’s Liquor Store in Detroit has been making rounds all over social media, sparking outrage. The owner of the store and man behind the alleged assault has been arrested. That’s what I get out of this whole situation,” said Warren’s family member, Melvetta Gibson. Other community member are saying that’s not like the owner at all. Another event is expected to happen later on in the week with other community activists in support of the owner.
VIDEO: Waterford police seek party store burglar
WATERFORD, Mich. Police are looking for a person who broke into the Lakeview Party Store, located on Cass Lake Road, at about 4 a.m. Aug. 14. According to authorities, the burglar -- wearing a baseball cap, blue hooded sweatshirt, sweat pants and dark shoes -- broke the glass door of the shop with a baseball bat. Police said he took cash from two registers before leaving through the broken door. Investigators are asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspect. Detroit police seek man in connection with vandalism of store on Gratiot Avenue
DETROIT Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with destruction of property at a liquor store in the 9900 block of Gratiot Avenue in Detroit. Police say the man, who goes by the name Jeezy, was reportedly at the store around 6:57 p.m. on Aug. 1 and threw a rock into the front door before fleeing the property. The man is described as having a medium complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a white baseball cap, dark-colored shirt with flowers on the sleeves, dark jogging pants with white and red stripes on the side and dark-colored shoes.
