DETROIT – These glimmering Metro Detroit holiday light displays are guaranteed to spark up your holiday season! The Westland based light display includes a magical 4.5 mile drive and is an annual tradition for families across Metro Detroit. It is being hailed as Michigan’s most dazzling new outdoor event and holiday light show. The buildings in Downtown Rochester will be covered with more than 1 million points of glimmering holiday light. It is a holiday light display in Lake Orion that started in 2015.

Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester makes a great family trip any time of year and it really shines in the autumn months. Meadow Brook Hall, the historic home built by the remarkable Matilda Dodge Wilson the widow of automobile guru John Dodge, is a not-so-secret local gem, but it is an absolute must-visit for families both near and far and the fall months are prime time to check it out. You can take a single tour or do a combination of one or more tours on your visit by purchasing a tour ticket in the museum store, which is located inside of Meadow Brook Hall. House tours are available 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday, and hourly from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Get that 'Downton Abbey' experience at this Metro Detroit spot
It was one of the most popular shows on TV, right up there with "Game of Thrones" or "Breaking Bad," now, "Downton Abbey" has come out with a movie and fans can't wait to see what happens next! Guests will have an immersive experience where they will interview to work as a servant in Meadow Brook Hall. At its peak, Meadow Brook Hall employed more than 29 staff that lived and worked there. They give regular tours daily, but this special "Servant's Life" tour is only available on weekends in September. You can purchase tickets on their website to get that "Downton Abbey" experience before the movie is out!
