Storms that rolled through Southeast Michigan Tuesday night triggered power outages across the region.
More than 30,000 DTE Energy customers were without power Wednesday morning after a small band of storms rolled through overnight.
Nearly 13,000 DTE Energy customers are still without power Tuesday morning following last week’s severe storms.
DTE Energy and Consumers Energy crews have been working to restore power to the region. Both companies expected restoration work to be completed by the end of the weekend.
For tens of thousands of Metro Detroiters, it’s day three with no power after two rounds of serious storms.
Consumers Energy said it expects to have power restored to 300,000 customers by Friday night following severe weather this week.
DTE Energy and Consumers Energy crews have been working to restore power to the region. Both companies estimate restoration work completed by the end of the weekend.
While the company has made significant progress, more than 252,000 customers are still out of power.
With DTE crews working to bring back power to hundreds of thousands of customers still in the dark, the company said 95% of outages are expected to be restored by the end of Sunday.
