"One of her best friends committed suicide several years ago and it deeply affected her, and still does. Three Jackson-area schools cancel athletic events following positive COVID-19 tests

Nicole Hester/Mlive.comThree Jackson-area high school athletic departments will be out of action for the foreseeable future following positive COVID-19 test results at their respective schools. Jackson Northwest, Michigan Center and Springport have already canceled Friday night’s varsity football games, as well as all other high school-level athletic events and practices. Springport and Michigan Center have officially entered a two-week quarantine period, while Jackson Northwest has not made an official ruling as of Thursday afternoon. Northwest has not officially moved to virtual learning beyond Friday, Sept. 25, but has canceled all athletic events for Sept. 24 and 25.
