Woman Arrested at Chicago O’Hare Airport for Conspiring to Kill Her Mother and Placing Body in Suitcase
An Illinois woman was arrested today when she arrived at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, for allegedly murdering her mother on Aug. 12, 2014, while on vacation in Bali, Indonesia. Heather Mack, 26, is alleged to have conspired with her boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, 28, to kill her mother, Sheila Von Weise, while Mack and Von Weise were on vacation in Bali. Before the murder, Schaefer received advice from his cousin, Ryan Bibbs, about how to kill Von Weise. Bibbs pleaded guilty in the Northern District of Illinois in December 2016 to one count of conspiracy to commit foreign murder of a U.S. national. Court documents reveal that Mack also asked Bibbs if he knew anyone who would kill her mother in exchange for money.

Two people were killed after a driver travels the wrong way on I-75, hitting another vehicle head on. According to Michigan State Police, the crash happened at about 4:50 p.m. Friday. Troopers were dispatched to I-75 near Schaefer after it was reported that a vehicle traveled south in the northbound lanes and crashed into another car. Both drivers were killed instantly. MSP said it is unknown which ramp the driver came from or why he was even driving the wrong way.

1 dead, another injured after driver crashes into pair of motorcyclists
DETROIT -- A 53-year-old woman is dead and another woman is in critical condition after they were rear-ended while riding their motorcycles early Tuesday morning. According to Detroit police, the two women were stopped in the road in the 14900 block of Schaefer while preparing to turn. A car driven by a 25-year-old man crashed into the women who were on separate motorcycles. Police and emergency workers were called to the scene around 12:35 a.m. and the driver of the car was arrested. Stolen truck with snow plow used to break into Melvindale gas station
MELVINDALE, Mich. – Police are investigating after a stolen truck with a snow plow on it was used to break into a Mobil gas station near Oakwood and Schaefer in Melvindale. Early Thursday morning at the Mobil gas station a couple men arrived in the truck. When that wasn’t enough, the two men put the vehicle in reverse and barreled through the front of the gas station. They almost hit the propane tank trying to smash into the gas station,” Mohamad Akhdar said. Akhdar runs the gas station.
