2 women killed in crash at Joy Road, Trinity Street in Detroit
DETROIT – Two women were killed Monday morning when their vehicle struck a utility pole at Joy Road and Trinity Street in Detroit. Police said the women were traveling in a 2005 Saab when the vehicle left the road and hit the pole. It’s unclear what caused this deadly crash. No other injuries have been reported. It remains under investigation.
Detroit police say CPL holder killed man in accidental shooting
DETROIT – Detroit police said a CPL holder accidentally shot and killed a man on the city’s west side with a gun he didn’t know was loaded. Spicer said she still remembers the intense moments when she stepped outside to find police officers bombarding her neighborhood. “They were out there all night.”Police were investigating what appeared to be the murder of a 24-year-old man. The 22-year-old man accused of pulling the trigger is a registered CPL holder who was showing off a new handgun, according to authorities. “So I had told my friend that he must have gotten a devastating phone call.”The 22-year-old is still in police custody.
18-year-old shot outside liquor store at Trinity, 7 Mile on Detroit's west side
DETROIT – An 18-year-old man was shot Tuesday night outside a liquor store at Trinity Street and 7 Mile Road in Detroit. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder and another to his left hand. He told officers he was at the liquor store and heard gunshots when he was about to get into his vehicle. He said he called his cousin to come get him a few blocks away at Lahser and 7 Mile roads. His cousin took him to the hospital.
