Man faces charges after bank robbery, crash on US-23 in Ann Arbor during police chase

ANN ARBOR โ€“ Ken Kenyatta Wilson was charged on Friday with a slew of felonies by the Washtenaw County Prosecutorโ€™s Office. Wilson fled police officers on Tuesday afternoon after robbing the Chase Bank at 4101 E. Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township, leading to a chase when the suspect crashed his vehicle in the area of US-23 and Washtenaw Ave. Wilson was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital with serious injuries, but was reported to be in stable condition. (Pittsfield Charter Township Department of Public Safety)Officers recovered stolen money, several firearms and ammunition from inside his vehicle and the scene of the crash. Investigations at both the bank and the crash site were conducted by detectives, Pittsfield officers and evidence technicians.

Those with concealed weapon permits are still allowed to carry firearms (concealed) into the State Capitol. The Michigan State Capitol Commission must take the next step and ban ALL firearms inside the State Capitol.โ€Gov. LANSING, Mich. โ€“ Michigan officials have banned the open carry of firearms at voting locations, clerkโ€™s offices and absent voting counting boards on Election Day. โ€œThe presence of firearms at the polling place, clerkโ€™s office(s), or absent voter counting board may cause disruption, fear, or intimidation for voters, election workers, and others present. Metro Detroit father advocates for gun safety training after reports of several children shot

A Metro Detroit man involved in a 2014 shooting is advocating for gun safety and protection, especially among children. Ever since then, he has been advocating for gun safety and protection. โ€œI do frequent training, not only with self-defense, but also in safety," Weldon said. The man says his weapons are locked away in his home, and he has gun safety measures in place as well. ATF seizes grenade launcher from Flint home, man charged

FLINT, Mich. โ€“ Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives officials found a 44-millimeter grenade launcher with a spent 44-millimeter casing in a Flint home after they entered the home this week with a search warrant, police said. Donald Benjamin Smith Jr. faces a felony possession of a firearm and possession of firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, according to police. Police said they found several weapons after executing a search warrant at 2918 Nathan Avenue. Police believe this to be Smithโ€™s home. Officials also found:
