Metro Detroit weather: Warm Wednesday evening ahead of a few showers tonight
It still feels like summer as we sit down to dinner in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. A cold front will be weak enough to bring us scattered light showers tonight, but strong enough to make it feel like fall tomorrow. Wednesday evening will be warm under a hazy sunset. It will be cloudy but warm at dinner time and remain mild overnight. Showers and thunderstorms develop and arrive, especially by midnight and afterward. It will be warm, again, with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Thursday will have our next chance of showers with highs in the 70s. Scattered showers are possible before sundown, and widespread rain and thunderstorms are more likely afterward. It warms up quickly by midday with temperatures in the low 70s at lunchtime. Scattered showers are possible late in the afternoon. Scattered showers continue to develop and arrive. Afternoon temperatures will be lower than the weekends, but it will still be mild.
