After plenty of cloud cover and chilly temperatures to start the weekend, we will bring some sunshine into the forecast, looking ahead throughout the end of the weekend on Sunday

Most of the region is waking up to a little bit of cloud cover with temperatures in the 40s, and windshields in the upper 30s in some locations, and we will warm things up about 10° warmer to end the weekend than we had to start the weekend on Saturday. High temperature is warming into the low 60s by Sunday afternoon.

Mainly clear skies can be expected overnight Sunday night and Monday morning. Overnight lows are dropping into the mid- to upper 40s in the city, and we could see low 40s outside the metro. Jackets will be needed as you head out the door to work into the bus stop on Monday morning.

Sunshine sticks around for most of the day on Monday, before the clouds increase Monday afternoon and Monday evening in advance of our next cold front rolling through the region. High temperatures will be unseasonably warm into the afternoon, and will head into the low 70s by Monday afternoon.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms roll into the region Monday night, continuing into the overnight and early Tuesday morning. We will also hang onto a chance of rain showers Tuesday morning as that front continues to pull off to the east. We will be keeping an eye on the radar for a potential severe weather outbreak as possible through the Midwestern United States into the Ohio Valley on Monday, but any severe weather should stay west of the region, as the timing for this front boundary does not support the threat for widespread severe weather Monday night.

With that front rolling through, high temperatures will warm into the upper 60s by Tuesday afternoon, before colder air moves in by Wednesday of next week.

Expect another chance of rain showers to stick around the forecast through the middle of the week, on Wednesday. Colder air will also move into the region as well. High temperatures are only warming into the upper 50s by Wednesday afternoon.

High-pressure builds into the region for the end of the week, and mostly sunny skies can be expected by Thursday and Friday. High temperatures remaining below average, into the upper 50s through the end of the week, before a little more cloud cover, rolling for the start of next weekend on Saturday. High temperatures remaining into the upper 50s, with overnight lows, Thursday night and Friday morning, and Friday night into Saturday morning into the upper 30s in the metro.
