After widespread severe thunderstorms moved through with damaging winds near or above 70 MPH leaving lots of damage behind over portions of the region, we will see more of Mother Nature’s “fireworks” looking ahead into the Fourth of July.
With a frontal boundary still lingering across the region to start the weekend, we will keep the chance of some scattered thunderstorms under the forecast Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. High temperatures will cool down a bit to start the weekend, expect high temperatures to warm into the upper 80s by Saturday afternoon.
We will keep the chance of some scattered showers and thunderstorms under the forecast to end the weekend on Sunday, but the day will not be a complete washout. High temperatures remaining in the mid upper 80s by the end of the weekend.
With this frontal boundaries, slow to move away from the region, we will keep the chance of a few thunderstorms under the forecast looking ahead to the start of next week on Monday. High temperature temperatures remaining into the mid 80s by Monday afternoon.
High-pressure will build back into the region, looking into the middle of next week for Tuesday and Wednesday. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds both days. High temperatures warming into the mid to upper 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
Chances for showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast looking ahead into the end of next week. I don’t think either of these days will be a washout. High temperatures warming into the upper 80s near 90° by Thursday, then dropping back into the mid 80s by Friday afternoon.
