Driver in custody after crashing into bus shelter, man in wheelchair in Detroit

DETROIT – Police said a driver lost control of his vehicle at Dexter and Davison on Detroit’s west side and crashed into a bus shelter on Wednesday night.

After crashing into the bus shelter, he struck a man in a wheelchair. The 54-year-old was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition.

The driver was taken into custody. The crash is under investigation.
