Detroit police investigate fatal shooting on city’s west side Man killed in overnight shooting

DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight on the city’s west side .
Officials said shots were fired around 1:40 a.m. Friday (Oct. 29) in the area of Northlawn and Cortland streets.
One man was killed in the shooting, police said. That person has not yet been identified.
Detroit police are still trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No further details have been revealed.
