85 arrests made during 2-day Detroit police operation targeting violent crime

Last week, the Detroit Police Department held a two-day operation in honor of Saniyah Pugh, an 11-year-old who was fatally shot and killed in her home on June 4.

Operation Saniyah allowed police to make many recoveries and issued over a thousand tickets.

Below are the stats from the operation:

  • Total Arrest: 85
  • Total Weapons Recovered: 22
  • Total Traffic Stops: 782
  • Vehicles Recovered: 3
  • Impounded Vehicles: 44
  • Total Tickets Issued: 1,297
  • Total Narcotics Recovered (street value): $2.3 million
