Detroit police investigate possible connection between barricaded situation, injured man dropped off at hospital
DETROIT – Police are investigating whether a man who died after being dropped off at a hospital is connected to a barricaded gunman situation that occurred early Friday morning. Detroit police say at about 12:40 a.m. officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Schoenherr and Pfent streets. Upon arriving, officers discovered several shell casings in front of the home and on the front porch of the home in question. Officials say that during their investigation, police received another call about a 22-year-old man who was dropped off at a hospital and died soon after. Police are investigating whether or not the barricaded situation is connected to the 22-year-old man who was dropped off at the hospital around the same time.

Residents on Detroit’s east side asked to shelter in place as police respond to barricaded situation
DETROIT – Police are responding an allegedly armed man who has barricaded himself inside a home on Concord Street on Detroit’s east side, near Seven Mile Road. Authorities said the 42-year-old man inside the home is having a mental health episode. When police arrived at the home, they said the man was armed and threatened himself and his girlfriend inside the home. “He produced a handgun and made threatening motions towards his girlfriend, who is in the residence,” said Detroit Police Commander Darin Szilagyi. Members of the Detroit Special Response and Crisis Negotiation teams are on the scene trying to resolve the situation peaceful.

Police believe man barricaded inside Sterling Heights business
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. Police believe a man has barricaded himself inside a business in Sterling Heights. Officers said the man is believed to be inside the Elwood Staffing building on Mound Road between 16 Mile and 17 Mile roads. The man walked into the business and employees said he was acting strangely and wouldnt respond, according to authorities. Police dont know if the man is armed, but theyre assuming the worst, just in case. Southbound Mound Road is closed between 16 Mile and 17 Mile roads.
