REDFORD, Mich. โ For the 10th day in a row, 7UP workers picket outside the distribution center in Redford. Workers said they are on strike to fight a two-tier wage system and for a fair disciplinary process. โHe worked for this company and heโs out here saying heโs never seen anything like this. โTheyโre not going to let their jobs get diminished. Taylor police: Barricaded situation has ended
TAYLOR, Mich. โ Several units of an apartment building were evacuated Wednesday morning due to a barricaded gunman situation in Taylor. Update 10 a.m.: This barricaded situation has ended, police said. Police said it all started about 2 a.m. with a domestic dispute between a man and a woman in a relationship. She was being held by Taylor police for questioning. Police said they were in no rush because of the 1-year-old child being involved.

DETROIT - The Michigan Department of Transportation is detailing a large new project that will shut down several lanes on seven miles of I-94 near Detroit Metro Airport. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $15.5 million to repair I-94 and 12 bridges in western Wayne County. This work includes road repairs between I-275 and Beech Daly Road, west of US-24, and bridge work at Wayne, Vining, Merriman, Middle Belt, Ecorse, and Beech Daly roads. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $15.5 million to repair I-94 and 12 bridges in western Wayne County. The westbound I-94 service drive/collector distributor will be closed at Merriman Road due to the bridge work. Merriman Road access to westbound I-94 will be maintained. Northbound Middle Belt Road and the ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed for bridge and railing work. The detour includes eastbound Wick Road to northbound Inkster Road, then westbound Ecorse Road to Middle Belt Road. Bridge work includes epoxy overlay, beam repair, rail patching, substructure replacement and repair, and deck patching.

TAYLOR, Mich. - Eureka Road between Beech Daly Road and Inkster Road is closed due to a downed power line and standing water, according to Taylor police. Police said there is several feet of water.
