JACKSON COUNTY, MI -- The Jackson County Animal Shelter’s adoptable pets will be available for a $25 adoption fee this week. The reduced adoption fee is part of the empty the shelters event in collaboration with the Bissell Pet Foundation. The $25 adoption fee is available regardless of the pet’s age or size, but Daly said it is unlikely any puppies will be available. “My suggestion would be to come in now and not to wait for the Bissell empty the shelter event because there’s no guarantee the one you’re interested in now will be available,” Daly said. While the shelter is closed on Sunday, cats will be available for a $25 adoption fee at the Jackson PetSmart and Pet Supplies Plus.
