Severely neglected pit bull with wires cutting into skin rescued by Detroit firefighters

DETROIT - A severely neglected dog was rescued Thursday by Detroit firefighters who found him tied to wires, chains and a belt. The dog was taken by Detroit Dog Rescue and is recovering in its care. On Friday, he had a bright pink harness on as Detroit Dog Rescue officials try to figure out how he ended up at a fire station. Firefighters at Ladder 22 on the city's west side quickly called Detroit Dog Rescue. Anyone who has information is asked to call Detroit Dog Rescue at 313-458-8014.

Detroit firefighters help rescue injured dog tied to wires, chain, belt

DETROIT - Detroit firefighters helped rescue an injured dog who was tied to wires, a chain and a belt. Officials with Detroit Dog Rescue said they rescued the dog around 7 a.m. Thursday after firefighters at Engine House No. "We're seeing so many neglect cases and really need some help," Detroit Dog Rescue posted on Facebook.
