Metro Detroit weather: Snow showers linger before warmer temperatures arrive
DETROIT – Snow showers linger before warmer air rescues us for the second half of the week. We’ll keep the unseasonably mild air for the weekend, but it doesn’t look pretty otherwise. We might be able to start dry on Saturday, but rain will arrive during the second half of the day, and stay on-and-off through Sunday. Turkey Day WeekWe’ll start Thanksgiving week dry but see temperatures return to normal for the first half of the week. Early indications show Thanksgiving Thursday will be dry but a bit milder with highs in the mid 50s.
Metro Detroit weather forecast: Record November warmth continues
DETROIT – Record November warmth is not done with us yet. But we can see colder temperatures ready to pounce by midweek. Did It AgainMonday was our third record high temperature in a row and our warmest of this streak. Reality ReturnsThe sharp cold front that will erase our four-day record streak arrives very late Tuesday. That’s colder than some of our lows in the last several days!

Metro Detroit weather: Dreary and wet start to the week
DETROIT – We’re in for a dreary, wet start to the week. After one more below-normal day Tuesday, temperatures will be above that mark for the second half of the work week. Plus we’ll get more sunshine with those warmer temperatures than what we’re dealing with for the beginning of the week. Another HurricaneWe’re monitoring Tropical Storm Epsilon in the Atlantic. We’re getting close to another tropical record.
Metro Detroit weather: Temperatures to touch or top the 80s this weekend
DETROIT – It’s like getting a bonus summer weekend! Highs in the 80s will stay with us through Sunday, but prepare for a big cool down next week. With high temperatures touching or topping 80 both weekend days, it will feel like we never left summer. And we continue to lose ground on the thermometer each day: highs in the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by 50s for Thursday through next weekend. Metro Detroit weather: Above normal temperatures expected this week
But don’t expect a fall feel going forward. There’s still plenty of above normal temperatures that lie ahead. High pressure is ‘stuck’ between us and Hurricane Teddy. Along with Teddy in the Atlantic, those are the only two organized systems we’re looking at right now. But there’s quite a bit of hurricane season left, which runs through November 30.
