Protesters supporting Indian farmers demonstrate in NYC
Tens of thousands of protesting farmers have marched, rode horses and drove long lines of tractors into India's capital, breaking through police barricades to storm the historic Red Fort. The farmers have been demanding the withdrawal of new laws that they say will favor large corporate farms and devastate the earnings of smaller scale farmers. The crowd gathered on Manhattan's east side on India's Republic Day, a national holiday that honors the anniversary of India's constitution coming into effect. Indian farmers have been protesting for nearly two months over new laws they say will benefit big corporations and wreak havoc on the earnings of smaller scale farmers. Many of the farmers are Sikhs from the northern state and neighboring Haryana, which are major agricultural producers.

Meanwhile, police are continuing to look for a man in black shorts and a dark blue T-shirt who was seen splashing red paint on the Black Lives Matter mural around noon on Monday. Mayor Bill de Blasio helped paint the mural in front of President Donald Trumps namesake tower last week.

Michigan bars navigate changing rules, can now offer alcohol to-go
Gretchen Whitmers order that effectively stopped indoor alcohol service at most locations. But the order also made it OK for alcohol to be sold to-go. Its a great spot to be.Per the Gov.s order, bars with on-premises liquor licenses that earn more than 70% of receipts from alcohol must shut down. And those without an outdoor space are allowed to sell drinks to-go or via delivery. Its outdoor space will allow the bar to remain open.
Video shows Royal Oak bar linked to COVID-19 cases was crowded without social distancing
ROYAL OAK, Mich. Oakland County health officials said video from inside a Royal Oak bar linked to three coronavirus (COVID-19) cases shows there was no social distancing enforced despite the crowded atmosphere. The Oakland County Health Department has confirmed three people tested positive for COVID-19 after visiting Fifth Avenue, a popular night spot in Royal Oak. Video of the patio area at Fifth Avenue shows big crowds, but social distancing was not enforced. Its a common problem at bars across Michigan as owners try to enforce distancing measures in what are normally social environments. The three customers who tested positive for the coronavirus visited Fifth Avenue on June 19.
