DETROIT – A Detroit man is facing multiple felonies, including murder, in connection to two armed robberies, WDIV Local 4 reports. He is also accused of a gas station robbery on Dec. 31 on the 20200 block of James Couzens Freeway. In the liquor store robbery, he is charged with one count of murder, two counts of armed robbery, one count of assault with intent to murder and four felony firearm violations. In the gas station robbery, Howard is charged with one count of armed robbery causing serious injury, one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and two felony firearm violations.

A Detroit man has been charged with murder and assault after two armed robberies that took place less than three weeks apart, police said.

Detroit police have arrested the man they say gunned down a liquor store clerk last week on Detroit’s west side, and it’s not the only crime he’s accused of committing.

Police are investigating after a man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Detroit’s west side.

DETROIT – A man angry that another driver didn’t let him merge onto Meyers Road in Detroit pulled up alongside that driver and shot him, police said. The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at the intersection of Puritan Avenue and James Couzens Freeway, according to authorities. A man in a Silver Mazda Hatchback tried to merge onto Meyers Road on Detroit’s west side in front of a 35-year-old man, officials said. The 35-year-old man didn’t allow the Hatchback to merge, so the driver followed him to Puritan Avenue and James Couzens Freeway, according to police. The 35-year-old man was struck by gunfire, but still managed to drive himself to the 13000 block of Puritan Avenue, police said.
