Girl, 14, seriously injured after multi-vehicle crash in Lapeer County
MAYFIELD TWP., MICH – A 67-year-old Lapeer County man faces several charges in connection with a pair of crashes over the weekend, including one that seriously injured two people. Authorities from the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies were called out around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, to a non-injury crash near the intersection of Fish Lake and Byers Road in Mayfield Township. During the crash, the Lincoln launched forward and hit the back of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, police said. He remains lodged in the Lapeer County Jail on a $500,000 cash/surety bond. Car severed in half in collision with trees leaves Lapeer man hospitalized
MAYFIELD TWP, MI — A Lapeer man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a one-vehicle crash in Mayfield Township. About 10:12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, Lapeer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash site on Suncrest Drive to the north of Oregon Road. The driver, a 37-year-old man, failed to navigate a curve, causing the Mercury to slide sideways, leave the roadway, and strike two trees. The preliminary investigation indicates excessive speed was a factor in the traffic crash. This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office.mlive.com
