The bond hearing for Joseph Morrison and Paul Bellar was held in Jackson County’s 12th District Court before Judge Michael Klaeren on Friday. Bellar, 21, of Milford, was charged with providing material support for terrorist acts, gang membership, carrying or possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony. Morrison’s bond was reduced to $150,000 cash/surety and he remains in custody at the Jackson County Jail. Once he is returned to Michigan, he will be arraigned in Antrim County’s 86th District Court on a 20-year felony charge of material support of an act of terrorism. LANSING – Many law enforcement agencies -- local and federal -- are investigating the group behind the terrorism plot to kidnap Gov. While they’re affiliate with the Michigan Militia, the Wolverine Watchmen is its own group with its own goals. The Wolverine Watchmen formed very recently. The boogaloo movement is a loosely organized far-right extremist movement with members advocating for a second Civil War. According to the Anti-Defamation League, the current boogaloo movement was first noticed by extremism researchers in 2019.

MUNITH, Mich. – FBI agents raided a home in Jackson County early Thursday in connection with the kidnapping plot against Gov. Neighbor Pam Karschnock and many others had been fed up with all the shooting at the home in recent months. But Karschnock and others came to learn Thursday that there was more than guys just firing automatic weapons. Karschnock lives next door to the home on Dunn Road in Munith that was raided. In addition to the shooting, neighbors said they had seen several men in militia fatigues at the home on Dunn Road, as well as hearing more than gunshots.

Michigan man charged with selling meth in multiple counties
PETOSKEY, Mich. A Munith, Michigan man has been charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and one count of felony firearm. Detectives from Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement were acting on a tip when they found Mark Adam Johnson, 42, in a motel room in Petoskey. Johnson is accused of selling methamphetamine in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties. Johnson was arrested and taken to the Emmet County jail on Oct. 4 He was arraigned on Oct. 31 in the 90th District Court in Emmet County. Hes scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6 at 8 a.m. for a probable cause conference.
