Michigan woman fires shots into exโs home, returns to shoot more with police on scene, officials say
Police say a Michigan woman went to her ex-boyfriendโs Detroit home this week, fired shots into the house, shot at him when he walked outside and then returned for another round of gunfire while police were at the scene investigating.
All charges dismissed against Owosso barber who reopened shop during coronavirus pandemic
OWOSSO, Mich. โ Charges have been dropped against a Michigan barber who defied Gov. Gretchen Whitmerโs executive orders at the time and reopened his shop during the coronavirus pandemic. However, 77-year-old Karl Manke reopened his shop in Owosso in early May. Attorneys said the state Supreme Courtโs decision on Whitmerโs emergency powers led prosecutors to drop the case. State regulations are still trying to revoke Mankeโs license.
North Pole Express not to operate in 2020
However, Pere Marquette 1225 -- also known as the North Pole Express -- wonโt be running this year. In a statement released Tuesday, the Steam Railroading Institute has decided to not operate any excursions in 2020. This includes the annual Fall Color Tours and North Pole Express. Michigan appeals court orders Owosso barber to close his shop

Driver treated for minor injuries after losing control of vehicle in Shiawassee County
OWOSSO, Mich. โ Officials said a driver going south on M-52 lost control of the vehicle at a high rate of speed on a curve and crashed. Deputies from the Shiawassee County Sheriffโs Office responded to the scene on M-52 near Juddville Road at 12:12 p.m. on Thursday. It happened in front of the Shiawassee Conservation Association. Deputies said they are seeking charges on the driver who they believe was operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. The driver was transported to a hospital for minor injuries, according to officials.
