15-year-old boy charged as juvenile in fatal shooting of 12-year-old in Oak Park
OAK PARK, Mich. โ A 15-year-old boy is being charged as a juvenile in connection with the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old boy Monday, Sept. 14 at a home in Oak Park. The Oakland County Prosecutorโs Office announced Tuesday the 15-year-old boy faces a manslaughter charge, as a juvenile. The 12-year-old was shot. The 15-year-old was taken into custody and now faces the manslaughter charge as a juvenile.

12-year-old boy killed in Oak Park shooting
OAK PARK, Mich. โ A 12-year-old boy was fatally shot on Monday at around 12:30 p.m. in the 10000 block of Saratoga in Oak Park. According to investigators there was gunplay involving juveniles at the home which led up to the shooting. Police say the juveniles were playing with a gun they found inside the home. As of now police have a 15-year-old in custody. Five high schoolers named National Student Poets
NEW YORK Five high school juniors, residing everywhere from Lake Worth, Florida, to Saratoga, California, have been named National Student Poets. A partnership between the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the student poet program was launched in 2011, with winners contributing to community programs and and poetry events and performing their work everywhere from Lincoln Center to the White House. Winning applicants each represent a different region and are chosen based on creativity, dedication and promise. This year's poets are Isabella Ramirez, from Lake Worth; Ethan Wang, from Katy, Texas; Manasi Garg, from Saratoga; Madelyn Dietz, from St. Paul, Minn.; and Anthony Wiles, from Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Each receives a $5,000 cash award.

In 11 weeks, he'll get a chance to avenge that defeat over the same track in the Kentucky Derby. Tiz the Law has an ambitious summer and fall campaign ahead of him if all goes according to plan. He watched Tiz the Law win the Florida Derby on March 28 from his condo near the track and the Belmont at a restaurant in Saratoga Springs. Tiz the Law is atop the leaderboard that determines the 20-horse Kentucky Derby field with 272 points.
