The senior at Stoney Creek High School has been a part of the golf team since freshman year and has been captain two years in a row. Jillian is a sophomore at Stoney Creek High School and put all her energy into lacrosse since freshman year. What really motivated her to play lacrosse is that she could play with her older sister, Julia! Metro Detroit organization that provides blankets to hospitalized children breaks world record
ROCHESTER, Mich. More than a thousand people gathered Saturday to break a Guinness World Record while helping comfort hospitalized children. Those 1,316 people made 2,016 blankets, breaking the record for the most no-sew fleece blankets made at one event, during Fleece & Thank You's Make a Blanket Day at Stoney Creek High School in Rochester. A world record was broken during Fleece & Thank You's Make a Blanket Day on Sept. 21, 2019 in Rochester. (Amber Ainsworth/WDIV)It took the group less than eight hours to make the blankets, which will be given to hospitalized children. It was a happy day that also included people who have received blankets from Fleece & Thank You sharing how much the blankets meant to them when they were sick.

Stoney Creek High School football players team up with special needs group
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Members of a special needs adult group are getting special honors Friday from the Stoney Creek High School varsity football team. The team partnered with the group at Dutton Farm this year. Players have spent hours getting to know students at Dutton. Students from Dutton will join the team on the field for an honor walk. "Community is community, and you take care of everybody," Stoney Creek principal Cathryne Skedel said.
