Dashcam video shows falling tree nearly striking Kalamazoo police cruiser
KALAMAZOO, MI -- A Kalamazoo Public Safety police cruiser escaped any serious damage after a tree nearly fell on it during Saturday’s wind storm. The incident was captured on the cruiser’s dashcam video and shows an officer heading to a call. At about 24 seconds into the 30-second video, a tree begins falling on the opposite side of the road. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers said the falling tree only caused minor damage to the cruiser and on one was injured.
