After plenty of rain to start the weekend, along with chilly temperatures on Saturday, we’ve kept the cloud cover around overnight, and the active weather continues into the end of the weekend on Sunday.
Some of us are waking up to some patchy dense fog on Sunday morning, so be sure to use your low beams. Expect the cloud cover to stick around for most of the day, especially if you’re attending any outdoor events to honor Memorial Day or for Movement in Downtown Detroit, but we’re also watching the radar for the end of the weekend as well. High temperatures warmer than we were to start the weekend, we’ll make it into the lower 70s by Sunday afternoon.
Drier weather finally moves into the region for Memorial Day on Monday. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds, and high temperatures warming into the lower 80s by Monday afternoon.
The dry weather sticks around for the majority of next week. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds for both Tuesday and Wednesday, before more sunshine than anything moves in by the time we get to Thursday. High temperatures are warming into the low 80s Tuesday & Wednesday, and upper 70s to near 80° on Thursday.
The one “fly in the ointment,” if you will, is a chance of rain showers we’re introducing into the forecast for the middle of next week on Wednesday, but as of right now, I do not think it will be a washout by Wednesday afternoon & evening.
That sunshine continues into the end of next week, through the last weekend in May. High temperatures are cooling down a bit by the end of next week as well. High temperatures into the middle 70s are expected by Friday, and we’ll remain in the middle 70s for the start of next weekend on Saturday.
