DETROIT – A Michigan State Police chopper followed a driver as he fled officers in a stolen U-Haul and was eventually tackled by a trooper in the middle of a street.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. April 1 (Friday) in the area of West Outer Drive and Lindsay Street on Detroit’s west side.

A man driving a stolen U-Haul pickup truck fled police and drove into the backyard of a home in the 16100 block of Sorrento Avenue, according to authorities.
He fled on foot through several backyards before he was tackled and arrested by an MSP trooper in the middle of Ward Avenue, chopper video shows.
