Shooting on Detroit’s east side hospitalizes 2 teenagers
DETROIT – A shooting Saturday night on Detroit’s east side sent two teenagers to the hospital in serious condition. According to authorities, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were in a parking lot near the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Outer Drive when an unknown person began fighting and shots were fired. The two teens were both struck and taken to a hospital where they were listed in temporary serious condition. Minor injuries reported in driving 'while texting' crash
The accident happened Thursday afternoon in Dundee. DUNDEE - One woman was treated for minor injuries in the aftermath of a car vs. tree crash about 1 p.m. Thursday, Dundee Police Department reported. The accident happened on Outer Drive near Plank Street. Dundee Police and Fire Departments, along with Monroe Community Ambulance, responded to the scene. The driver, who was from DeWitt, was cited on a charge of "driving carelessly while texting," the police department said in its report.monroenews.com
