Police seek information about vehicle involved in fatal shooting of man on Detroit’s west side

DETROIT – Police are seeking information from the community regarding a fatal shooting of a man on Detroit’s west side.

The incident occurred on Sunday (Jan. 7) at 6:40 p.m. in the area of Coyle Street and Puritian Avenue when a 26-year-old man was discovered shot while inside a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The victim was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officials said they want to speak to the occupants of what appears to be a silver and gray Mercedes Benz with a sunroof, which can be seen below.
