Family seeking justice for 21-year-old shot, killed nearly two years ago in Detroit
DETROIT – A Detroit family is seeking justice nearly two years after a 21-year-old man was shot and killed. Dion Bridges was shot at a home on July 4, 2019, on Schoenherr Street near East Seven Road. Family members said Bridges was at a barbecue when someone started shooting from a nearby alley. Bridges’ mother Jerreece Bridges is asking anyone with information to come forward. The person out there who knows they did this, I don’t know how they can live with themselves,” Jerreece Bridges said.
Man killed in shooting outside Clora Funeral Home on East Seven Mile Road
DETROIT – A 53-year-old man was killed in a shooting Monday outside of Clora Funeral Home. The shooting took place at about 10:35 a.m. Monday in the 5800 block of East Seven Mile Road in Detroit. Detroit police said the shooting occurred after an argument between a family member and someone working at the funeral home. Authorities find about $1 million worth of marijuana at illegal grow operation in Detroit
DETROIT – Authorities said they found about $1 million worth of marijuana at an illegal grow operation Thursday in Detroit. According to officials, the weed was discovered during a drug bust in the area of Irvington Street and East Seven Mile Road. When a search warrant was executed, the grow operation was found inside a building, and two trailers outside were also filled with marijuana, authorities said.
