Big Ten Tournament to move to Indianapolis from Chicago: report
A month after the NCAA announced the entire men’s basketball tournament would be held in Indiana, it appears the Big Ten Tournament is heading there too. It was originally scheduled for Chicago, starting on March 10 and culminating with the championship on March 14, the same day the field for the NCAA Tournament is announced. In all but two instances, the Big Ten Tournament has taken place in either Chicago or Indianapolis since its inception in 1998. Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said recently that decision makers have discussed the viability of conference tournaments this season. Michigan and Michigan State have won the last four completed Big Ten Tournaments.
