DETROIT A man was hit by a vehicle while riding a moped in Detroit on Friday night. Police say the man was traveling south on Military Street on his moped around 10:15 p.m. when the driver of a dark colored sedan traveling west on Linsdale Street struck him. Medics responded to the incident and pronounced the victim deceased, officials said. There is not a description of the driver or their vehicle at this time. DEARBORN, Mich. - A donation box collecting money for orphans was stolen off the counter at Posh Hookah Lounge on Military Street in Dearborn. Surveillance video shows the man looking around before hiding the box in his jacket and walking away. Police are searching for the suspect. DETROIT - A 28-year-old woman was found over the weekend with fatal stab wounds to her throat in Southwest Detroit, police said. Tiffany Nichole Wallen was found around 4:50 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Military Street, just northeast of the Michigan-Martin neighborhood, according to authorities. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
