Police: Suspected burglars shoot at officers, chased through Wayne County
INKSTER, Mich. – A dangerous chain of events played out Sunday across several cities in Wayne County. Officers from several police departments, including Michigan State Police, are involved in the investigation. The Dodge escaped westbound on Michigan Avenue, where they were pursued by Wayne police officers. Police said Wayne officers were shot at during the pursuit, which was taken over by Michigan State Police once the suspects reached I-94. Police are looking for suspected gunmen who reportedly tried to run Inkster police officers over before a pursuit across Wayne County on Dec. 27, 2020.
