WNBA awards: Chicago Sky’s Vandersloot named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Chicago Sky’s Courtney Vandersloot was named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, according to a league press release.

Chicago Sky’s Kahleah Copper named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Chicago Sky’s Kahleah Copper was named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week which marks the first time in her seven-year career to receive the honor.

WNBA awards: Amanda Zahui B. of Los Angeles Sparks wins Cares Community Assists Award

Los Angeles Sparks center Amanda Zahui B. has been given the WNBA Cares Community Assist Award recipient for her participation in health and wellness programming, contributions to the LGBTQ+ community along with numerous other causes she is passionate about.

WNBA Awards: Brittney Griner and Jonquel Jones named players of the week

Jonquel Jones and Brittney Griner were named players of the week with Jones representing the East while Griner represents the West.

WNBA awards: A’ja Wilson and Brionna Jones named players of the week

Brionna Jones of the Connecticut Sun and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces were named players of the week in their respective conferences.

WNBA Awards: Chicago Sky coach, James Wade named Coach of the Week

At the helm, Wade led the Sky to an 8-4 record for the month as Chicago finished June with an 10-8 overall record. Chicago went 5-3 on the road and 3-1 at Wintrust Arena in June.

WNBA awards: Sky’s Vandersloot, Storm’s Stewart named players of the week

This is the sixth time in Vandersloot’s career, including the third in her last two seasons, where she has earned the honor.
