Authorities seek suspect in suspicious Ypsilanti Township school fire
YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. The Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office is looking for help identifying someone wanted in connection to a suspicious Ypsilanti Township fire Wednesday. According to authorities, deputies were dispatched to Ford Elementary School on Clark Road just after 8:30 p.m. and, upon arrival, found the building on fire. The Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office provided photos of someone wanted for questioning in the incident. Washtenaw County issues swift water safety warning after heavy rains
ANN ARBOR The Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office has issued a swift water safety warning following recent heavy rainstorms in the area. Members of the public who engage in recreational activities on any rivers or streams are urged to exercise extreme caution. Recent rainfall in Washtenaw County and surrounding areas has elevated water levels and increased current speeds. In these conditions even water that may appear calm can have strong currents under the surface. The Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office urges members of the public to keep these safety protocols in mind:The Marine Patrol recommends that anyone engaging in water activities wear a life jacket.
Missing Washtenaw County man found safe
PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office is announced Sunday that Sheldon Michael Arnold has been located safely. Police said Arnold, 29, went missing around 10:45 p.m. Friday and was last seen driving a white Chrysler Town and Country.
