Police are currently on the scene of a barricaded gunman situation on Detroit’s east side.

Four people are in police custody after shots were fired at Detroit police officers in their patrol car over the weekend.

A 10-year-old girl was hospitalized Saturday night following a drive-by shooting on Detroit’s east side.

A 37-year-old man was hit by a car and killed early Thursday morning on Detroit’s east side, police said.

DETROIT – Police are looking for two girls who went missing on Detroit’s east side. According to authorities, Alexis Gean and Mariah Acosta left their residence near the intersection of Somerset and Harper avenues sometime between 11 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday. She has green eyes, blond hair and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater. She has brown eyes, brown hair and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater. DETROIT – Fire crews battled a house fire on Detroit’s east side Friday morning. It happened at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Somerset Avenue and Haverhill Street, just west of I-94. Officials with the Detroit Fire Department said everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries were reported. The investigation into how the fire started is ongoing. MORE: Detroit news

DETROIT - Police are investigating a deadly shooting on Detroits east side. The shooting happened on a driveway in the 11400 block of Somerset Avenue around 11:35 p.m. Saturday. A man was shot multiple times and died during the shooting, police say. The gunman was seen speeding away southbound on Somerset Avenue in a gray Chrysler 200.
