Detroit man sentenced after carjacking woman in front of kids, targeting CPL holder, hiding in bush
A Detroit man who carjacked a woman in front of her children at their home and also failed to carjack a CPL holder at a gas station has been sentenced to 19 years in prison after police found him hiding in a bush.

DETROIT – Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an Oct. 27 carjacking on Detroit’s west side. Police said a black Nissan drove up to a pump and the driver entered the store. While the passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was sitting in the Nissan, an armed man approached the car and orderd the woman to get out at gunpoint. 71-year-old man beaten, carjacked in Detroit after saving for 3 years to buy used truck
DETROIT He saved and saved to buy a blue 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage pickup truck. The truck had more than 280,000 miles on it, but 71-year-old Robert didnt care. Standing on his one good leg he was able to maneuver into the truck and put his walker in the back. He grabbed me by the hair, snatched me out of the truck and threw me out on the ground, Robert said. The Detroit Police Department is working the case and some kind neighbors are trying to help out, but he doesnt have money for a new truck.
