WINDSOR, ONTARIO – Windsor officials requested a court injunction Thursday, Feb. 10 to clear protesters blocking the Ambassador Bridge on the Canadian sign of the international crossing. Ahead of requesting an injunction, Windsor received additional support from the Ontario Provincial Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. “We’re going to make sure we have the right number of people here to be able to enforce the injunction,” Dilkens said. Matt Moroun, who chairs the Detroit International Bridge Company which owns the Ambassador Bridge, also called on the Canadian government to step up enforcement efforts to open the critical trade route.
