Assistant principal at Michigan high school charged with sexually assaulting a child
ECORSE, MI -- An assistant principal at Ecorse High School was arrested Monday on school property on a charge of one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a person younger than 13. According to the WDIV-Detroit, Melven Conway, 45, was charged on Feb. 1 by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office over an alleged sexual assault that took place at a Detroit home. The alleged victim is a relative who says Conway assaulted her several years ago when she was 10, authorities said. As a condition of bond, Conway must wear a tether and would only be allowed to leave his home to go to work or to meet with his legal counsel. He is also ordered not to have contact with the alleged victim.
