Driver who hit Roseville student was on detour due to road closure for district worker’s death
The driver who struck a Roseville Middle School student last week was taking a detour past the school because police closed down a section of nearby Groesbeck Highway where a district employee was shot by officers for wielding a knife, officials said.
Police ID homicide victim in Bridgeport gas station shooting
SAGINAW COUNTY, MI - Police have identified the person killed Thursday, Oct. 28 in a Bridgeport Township gas station shooting as a 30-year-old Saginaw man. Officers found Cortez Deshone Davis Thursday after he was shot in the parking lot of the Lucky Corner Store and Marathon Gas Station located at 4570 Dixie Highway, according to a news release from the Bridgeport Township Police Department. Michigan State Police is assisting BTPD with an ongoing investigation into the killing. Fight at Pontiac gas station leads to woman trying to hit someone with car, fleeing authorities
PONTIAC, Mich. – A fight at a Pontiac gas station Sunday night led to a police chase after a woman allegedly tried to hit another woman with her car. Deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Marathon Gas Station in the 500 block of N. Perry Street just after 11 p.m. about a fight. Collins then allegedly rammed the front door of the gas station with her car. She was allegedly driving a silver Kia slowly south on N. Perry Street. Deputies blocked the entrance with their vehicles, but Collins allegedly drove over the grass to get into the parking lot.
