Man sentenced to year in jail in connection with Detroit police pursuit with infant in car
DETROIT โ A father was sentenced Friday to a year in jail and three years of probation in connection with a police chase with his 4-month-old baby in the car. Brandon Walker, 26, pleaded guilty to child abuse after he took his daughter from his girlfriend in April and took off. Shortly after the chase was called off, the mother was able to get the baby from the vehicle in the area of Seven Mile Road and Oakfield Avenue. Other charges -- including kidnapping -- were dropped as a part of the sentencing agreement. More: Metro Detroit crime news
Detroit police looking for missing 49-year-old man
DETROIT Detroit police are seeking assistance to locate a missing 49-year-old man suffering from mental health conditions. Family members say the missing man was watching television in his home but was shortly after seen walking near 7 Mile and Telegraph roads by a friend. He was last seen wearing a white Nike shirt with a red Nike logo, blue jeans and black shoes, officials said. Washingtons family says he is in good physical condition but suffers from mental health conditions.
