Feedback sought for compensation plan for Oxford High School victims

Oxford Strong initiative raises more than $220,000 for shooting victims

Friday (Feb. 4), schools all across the state are taking time to lift up the Oxford Community. They’re doing it by asking students, parents, and staff to wear Oxford Strong t-shirts, with 80% of the proceeds going directly to Oxford High School.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced on Monday that it is endorsing a multi-community effort to have the month of February designated for statewide “Oxford Strong” support among the state’s high school athletic programs. The “Oxford Strong” slogan has been a phrase that many have used to rally in support of those impacted by the tragic Oxford High School shooting on Nov. 30 that claimed the lives of four students. Graphics have all been primary organizers of the “Oxford Strong” support effort. Graphics created the SupportOxfordStrong.com website for people to purchase “Oxford Strong” T-shirts and hoodies. According to the MHSAA, a large portion of each purchase will be donated to Oxford High School.
