PLYMOUTH, Mich. – A Plymouth teacher learned that two packages delivered to her home have been stolen from her porch. “I looked at my video and saw that one (package) was delivered and I got a second one,” Rocheleau said. She checked her home video and saw that a woman took the packages. While one package was work-related, the second package was likely from her son and daughter-in-law in Hawaii. Wyandotte police use social media to return stolen blanket to rightful owner
WYANDOTTE, Mich. – When Tonyia Gill had a custom-made keepsake blanket made for her best friend, she never thought the blanket would make headlines. One of those stolen items was Gill’s blanket, but without the packaging, police weren’t sure who it belonged to. They posted a photo of the blanket on social media and asked if anyone knew the woman in the photos on the blanket. Gill started getting phone calls that day from people asking if the blanket was hers within 24 hours, the stolen blanket was returned. The suspected thief is facing seven counts of mail theft and potentially seven years imprisonment.
Camera captures delivery driver take package he had just delivered to Warren home
WARREN, Mich. – Thomas Jaros’ doorbell camera captured an Amazon driver stealing a package that they had just delivered. “My package had been delivered and there was a picture that my package was on the doorstep.”Jaros received the photo from Amazon to confirm that the items he ordered had been delivered to his mother’s home in Warren, but when he and his mother checked -- the package was gone. Jaros said he took the footage with the Warren Police Department and made a police report. A Detroit woman said she took matters into her own hands after someone was stealing her packages. After getting a Ring doorbell camera, she finally caught a woman stealing her latest package off her door step.

Roseville police seeking porch pirate caught on camera
ROSEVILLE, Mich. – Roseville police are seeking help to identify a larceny suspect who stole a package from a resident’s front porch on Tuesday. Police say the “porch pirate” was captured on camera (below) stealing a package in the 27000 block of Groveland Street around 5:35 p.m. The thief pulled up in front of the resident’s home in a small, dark colored sedan shortly after the resident’s package arrived, police say. The porch pirate is described as a man with a slim build and was wearing a red Adidas hooded sweatshirt and white jogging pants. DETROIT – Detroit police are looking for a person who stole a package from a porch Monday. A doorbell camera caught a male, whose approximate age is unknown, running up to a home in the 19000 block of Bretton Drive and taking the package. The victim told police the item was delivered at about 11:30 a.m. Monday and they noticed it was gone at about 3:30 p.m.Watch the video below.
